Aligned with its mission to support the local art scene and as part of its expansion and new development axis, The Art Circle launched in June 2022 its second small format painting contest open to UAE Nationals and foreigners residing in the United Arab Emirates, over 18 years of age.
All proposals were reviewed by a jury of art experts:
- Maya Allison, Chief Curator NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) / Curator: National Pavilion of UAE to the Venice Biennale, 2022
- Alejandra Castro Rioseco, Founder and Director of The MIA Art Collection
- Dr. Alain Baron, Founder of Numismatica Genevensis
- Faisal Al Hassan, Head of Warehouse421
- The Art Circle Board Members
The winning proposal will be unveiled the day of the exhibition opening and awarded AED 10,000
The artwork will be part of The Art Circle collection, and it will be reproduced as a giclée print and given as a gift to the different art specialists TAC interacts with during its various visits and exchanges for the year 2023.
