Dear Members,
For as long as I can remember, storytelling has been a passion of mine. Propelling me to founding the book club, Al Multaqa, which in 2006 was awarded membership to The Movement of Clubs at UNESCO, for its efforts in encouraging cultural exchange. It has been said that next to hunger and thirst, our most basic human need is for storytelling’ Khalil Gibran. Through the Art Circle we experience story telling from a visual dimension.

Murakami Takashi, is a Japanese contemporary artist. He works in fine arts media as well as commercial and is known for blurring the line between high and low arts as well as co aesthetic characteristics of the Japanese artistic tradition and the nature of postwar Japanese culture and society, and is also used for Murakami's artistic style and other Japanese artists he has influenced.
Murakami is the founder and President of Kaikai KikiCo., Ltd., through which he manages several younger artists. He was the founder and organizer of the biannual art fair Geisai.

Letter from our member Stéphanie Laurent Jose
Originally from Belgium where I was born and raised, I became a citizen of the world. Home is now everywhere I lived with my family.
First, I am a mother of 4 who all left the nest to embrace their own path.
I am proud of them; they were quickly taken out of their comfort zone, not only having to follow their parents’ careers but then deciding to experience boarding school in Europe and then university and now their professional life which takes them to new cities. The strength, tenacity, the open mindedness, curiosity and tolerance are very much part of each of them. Spread around the world, what brings us together or them together? Do we share a common interest besides traveling and sports we enjoy practice together? Art.
