Dear Friends, dear Members,

As 2022 is coming to an end, it is the moment to look back to the fabulous year it has been for The Art Circle.

First, I would like to address a warm thank you to our “dream team”, a group of 8 passionate women, who work tirelessly behind the scenes, simply driven by the love of art and the desire to fulfill our mission.

From Our Members to Our Members Viktoria Melnykova

Viktoriya is a great lover of Rana Begum's work and will be happy to talk to us about one of her sculptures in her collection as well as guide us through other pieces in her home.

Originally from Ukraine, she was naturalised in France where she had her first encounter with art. Initially interested in psychology, she found a link to her interest in artistic expression during her first visit to the Centre Georges Pompidou. Today, Viktoriya is interested in a humanistic approach and develops different projects such as therapeutic art, educational interventions in schools and projects with artists.

A two day trip to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah

Letter from our member Roos Dhunjibhoy Meyers

Born and raised in Belgium, I was of course exposed to the grand masters of the Flanders. Art was always present in my life, and museum visits were often on our travel itinerary. My very own first art purchase, however, was in Mumbai, India, where I had settled with my husband and daughter.
