ABOUT THE EVENT

Dear Members,

We are delighted to announce to you our new partnership with Spirit Now London.

As apart of our collaboration, Spirit Now London is inviting The Art Circle members to join their webinar on the live-visit of Sarah Sze’s exhibition “night into day” at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, led by Leanne Sacramone, the curator of the exhibition.

Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain was initiated in 1984 by Alain Dominique Perrin, President of Cartier International at the time, on a suggestion by the artist César. Directed by Hervé Chandès, and housed in a building filled with light designed by the architect Jean Nouvel the Fondation is a unique example of corporate philanthropy in Paris, France. A pioneer, it paved the way for patronage in the French cultural landscape by offering an exhibition space to artists from all over the world. It is an exhibition and creative space for artists, and a meeting place with the public through the organization of conferences, concerts, and shows in connection with the temporary exhibitions.

Sarah Sze is best known for her intricate assemblages of everyday objects that blur the boundaries between painting, sculpture and architecture.

For her second solo show at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain , the internationally acclaimed artist Sarah Sze will create an immersive installation that transforms the visitor’s perception and experience of Jean Nouvel’s iconic building.

Spirit now London, founded in 2015 and directed by Marie-Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre, is a non-profit organisation with all funds donated to cultural institutions and the support of young artists. By invitation only, it is a private and international circle of benefactors, collectors, and friends. Spirit Now London gives the opportunity to meet with exceptional personalities from contemporary art, design, culture, and science.
