2.30 pm: Mariët Westermann about Vermeer, Rembrandt and Georges de La Tour at the Louvre AD

A guided presentation and study of the masterpieces of Vermeer, Rembrandt and Georges de La Tour on loan at the Louvre AD, led by Dr Mariët Westermann, Vice Chancellor, NYU Abu Dhabi.

Mariët Westermann, former executive vice president of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, joined NYU Abu Dhabi as Vice Chancellor and Professor of Arts and Humanities in August 2019. Mariët received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Williams College, and earned her Masters and PhD at NYU's Institute of Fine Arts. She is a historian of the art of the Netherlands.
