Bassam Freiha Art Foundation

Newly opened Bassam Freiha Art Foundation (BFAF) is a philantrophic institution established by philanthropist and art collector Bassam Said Freiha, who has collected works from the Orientalist art movement for over 50 years. The Foundation hosts exhibitions that feature works from his collection alongside showcasing the collections of regional and international patrons.

Echoes OF The Orient

First exhibition, showcasing Orientalist art from H.E. Bassam Said Freiha's private collection. This exhibition explores the West's fascination with the East through art and photography, juxtaposing Western and Arab perspectives to foster intercultural dialogue.

Reclaiming Visions

It juxtaposes works from Sama Alshaibi’s ‘Carry Over’ series and Azza Al Qubaisi's sculptures against 19th-century Orientalist photography, exploring and challenging historical representations of Arab women to reclaim their narratives and transcend cultural misconceptions.

Sculpture Garden

A testament to the fusion of nature and urbanism. The organic forms of Azza Al Qubaisi and John Clement's sculptures engage in a compelling dialogue with the foundation’s modernist architecture — an embodiment of minimalist elegance and strength.
