ABOUT THE EVENT

10:30 AM

M2M with Noura Ramahi

An invitation to discover the world of our dear member and artist, Noura Ramahi

Beside being an artist, Noura is an avid collector.

Noura Ramahi, a Lebanese-born Emirati, is a self-taught artist. Her artistic practice is an act of repetitive meditation. She is largely inspired by her daily walks, an act of repetitive movement in and of itself.

Through her works, Ali-Ramahi portrays the nature that she encounters on her strolls, be it the sunrise, the sunset, the shape of the sun, the earth, or the sea. She recycles and utilizes found material to create her work: wax paper that came with a cheese order, a piece of cardboard that wrapped an Amazon package, or even a paper-bag from a retail brand.

She took part in different art exhibitions since 2016 In Dubai & Abu Dhabi.

In 2022 she held a solo exhibition at NYU Art Gallery Project space entitled “Allow me not to explain”.

Noura writes poetry and hopes to publish a book. She is a mother of four and lives and works in Abu Dhabi.

Her work is part of private as well as corporate collections in the UAE and internationally.

Abu Dhabi Art Preview

An invitation from the Abu Dhabi Art team for a presentation of the upcoming 15th edition of Abu Dhabi Art Fair and all it has to offer, with a highlight on its VIP program and the appointed artist for this year visual campaign.

The Emirati artist, Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, is the appointed artist for the visual campaign.

He previously represented the UAE at the 59th edition of International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia in 2022.

He has an extraordinary relationship with the landscape and nature. His work reflects a connection to the UAE that is both singular and collective, local and global in its resonance.
